Tennis @ Evesham
Welcome to Evesham Tennis Club
Tennis at the Rowing and Racquets Club welcomes everyone from beginners to advanced
Our tennis section is both fun and inclusive. There is a range of sessions on our 6 tennis courts for complete beginners right through to the top teams. We are a very friendly bunch and you will be warmly welcomed to any of the sessions. We love our tennis as much as we love relaxing on the leather sofas in the bar and café or on the balcony overlooking the river.
Where a regular match with friends, or booking an impromptu hour to practice, you can book any of our 6 courts via our app from the convenience of your smartphone.
We also operate a pay-and-play system where you do not need to have a membership and can book courts by the hour.

Tennis is a sport for everyone. Whether you are picking up a racket for the first time, returning to tennis after a few years, or looking for a friendly club where you can play regularly and improve your game, there is a place for you at Evesham Rowing & Racquets Club.
Our tennis community is friendly, welcoming and open to players of all ages and abilities. Membership gives you the opportunity to play regularly, meet other players and become part of the wider club community.
Getting Started
Come along to one of our Social Tennis Sessions to meet some of our members for a friendly game, or email the club for a free coaching taster session.
Affordable Membership
At Evesham Rowing and Racquets Club, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy tennis, regardless of their financial circumstances. As a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC), we are committed to making membership accessible and welcoming to all.
To support this commitment, we offer concessionary rates for eligible members. These rates are available to ensure that the annual cost of full participation does not prevent anyone from taking part and are below the £520 per year membership threshold set by HMRC for Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). If the cost of membership is a concern, please contact us in confidence to discuss the options available.
Tennis Memberships
There are several memberships available to you at the club, from a “Coaching Only” up to a Family membership, but you can also simply sign up to our Pay & Play option. Once signed up, you can download the MyClubhouse App, log in and book courts for up to 14 days in advance.
In winter months and late afternoons, floodlights will automatically switch on - floodlighting is included with no extra charge.

Social Nights & Matches
Monday - Ladies Night, from 6.30pm
No matter the weather, you can usually find at least two courts of ladies enjoying a game or two to the sound of the wind in the surrounding trees, people playing in Abbey Park or our resident wildlife at the river’s edge.
We’re an active, friendly group and warmly welcome new ladies of all ages and abilities. It’s not uncommon for one of the ladies to have made homemade cakes - for the energy boost of course between sets - as we enjoy friendly matches with fellow members.
Tuesday - Mixed Night
Mixed night, all levels welcome
Wednesday - Match Night
This is normally our match night, otherwise open to all members
Thursday - Mixed Morning & Social Night

Mixed night, all levels welcome – 7pm
What is so special about Thursdays, then?
Not quite the weekend ahead, too long since the last one… but there is something special happening every week on a Thursday morning. Social Tennis! We need more players, though – anyone, any age, any ability, retired, unemployed, working from home and able to take a couple of hours off.
Please come and join us from 10am for max two hours. You don’t have to commit to every week, although it helps if you can make more than you miss! To join our WhatsApp group, please contact Helen on: 07831 682092.
Friday
Free to book any of our 6 courts.
Saturday & Sunday
Mixed social 10am.
