The heart of Evesham Rowing & Racquets Club

Originally, the boathouse existed purely to support rowing activities — boat storage, changing facilities and social space for members. As the club evolved into what is now the Evesham Rowing and Racquets Club, incorporating tennis and squash, the building gradually became more of a social and community hub rather than just a sporting facility.

The Boathouse Café offers refreshments to rowers, members, park visitors, and the wider Evesham community. The café serves breakfasts, hot drinks, and light meals and is a welcoming, family‑friendly stop along the riverside - and dogs are very much welcome at The Boathouse Cafe!

The Boathouse Café and bar is central to the club’s role as a community venue, hosting local history talks, social events, meetings, and celebrations. Notably, events such as “Evesham: Between the Bridges” highlight the boathouse’s long‑standing connection to the town’s river heritage and its continuing role as a gathering place for both sporting and cultural life in Evesham.

Today, The Boathouse Café stands as a modern extension of a historic sporting building — blending over 160 years of rowing heritage with an open, accessible space that invites the public to enjoy the river, the park, and the club’s social atmosphere. It remains an important part of the club’s identity and a visible link between Evesham’s past and present along the River Avon.

Chris P: I found this venue by accident a few months ago, now it has become my favourite place to go for a decent breakfast & a cuppa. Not only that the staff are super friendly and welcoming and they recognise me and always make the effort to have a little chat with me. Thank you Susie & Jas for always making me feel welcome ☺️ and helps makes my weekend

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect smashed avocado and poached eggs

Victoria S: I don't often write reviews, but I felt compelled to after eating my breakfast here last weekend. I had poached eggs and smashed avocado on sourdough and it was possibly the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked eggs, the right proportion of avocado smashed but not mushy and sourdough toasted but not dry. Compliments to the chef! My husband also had a bacon sandwich which he raved about, but I was too busy consuming my eggs to notice why 🤭 The coffee was also nice…

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Very very very nice 👌

Julie R: First time to call for a coffee and sausage bap, greeted by very polite and friendly lady, seating area out side perfect on a sunny day. Coffee and bap spot on. Will definitely call again.
