Here at The Boathouse we have three spaces that can be hired as one or separately. These spaces were originally used by the club’s three sport sections for awards ceremonies, parties, team nights, coaching sessions and the exec team meet in the boardroom every month. During the week, the main function room and the sunroom operate as a popular public and club cafe.

However, many years ago, due to the unique ambience of the spaces - from beautiful solid teak floors, beamed ceilings with waterside theme and let’s not forget the stunning river-side views - the club opened the spaces for functions and events.

In addition, many clubs and groups use the spaces to meet, from mums and toddlers, fitness groups to The Probus Club of Evesham. So we are well-versed in catering for groups large and small - and parking is free!

Our largest space can be configured to suit your needs. From formal banqueting or a seminar, to a dance floor with seating, the club itself uses this space for formal banqueting evenings, such as awards presentations, AGM meetings, youth events and even training facilities for the club.

In addition to wedding receptions, discos and birthday parties, some local clubs use the space for meetings, dance clubs and even social club nights and quizzes use this space regularly. It’s a highly flexible space, with a warm riverside, rowing theme, high wood-beamed ceilings, starlight lighting, plenty of daylight for daytime events, and we even have a terrace space for those fresh spring evenings and balmy summer nights.

In terms of services, there is a large, full stocked bar, professional-level kitchen, a large flatscreen television system, professional grade microphone/sound and a high quality full-HD digital projector. We have our own catering team in-house, including room designing/dressing and waiting staff.

Off to the side of the main function room, fully enclosable with twin sets of Queen Anne doors, The Sunroom can be utilised as a cosy, bijue space for a team meeting or community club of around 20-30 people, or it can be combined with the function room for greater flexibility and space. Along one side, as the room’s title suggests, are floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views over our tennis courts, the River Avon’s tree-lined banks and Abbey Park beyond.

We have multiple ways to present this space, from more formal tables and chairs to sofas and cafe tables. During the week, this space is utilised as a mini version of the Cafe, when not booked for functions.

Perfect as a team meeting space or a quiet space for deep work, our medium sized boardroom is sat off the side of the main function hall, across a corridor.

Ideal for meetings where privacy is important. It can seat up to 12 people around the board table or can be transformed into a presentation room with around 20 people seated.

At one end is a large, LCD, flatscreen HD television, free superfast broadband Wi-Fi, additional comfy seating, multiple electrical points for charging devices, plus all the soft facilities you’d expect for a modern meeting space - including the fully stocked bar, barista coffee and professional grade kitchen facilities.
