With a long history in Evesham since 1863 Evesham Rowing Club has stood proudly central to the parks and meadows for a century and a half.

 

Now with modern facilities for Squash, Tennis and of course Rowing it welcomes visitors and memberships from around the area. Take a look through this brochure to learn about the unique riverside facilities in a friendly club that is also welcoming to disabled sportsmen and women.

 

Professional coaching is available for all sections of the club supported by keen member to member coaching and support. When not busy in pursuit of their chosen sport the members can use the gym and equipment to keep fitness levels high all through the year.

The rowing section has coached Olympic Champions like ZacPurchase.And Sir Steven Redgrave and Matthew Pinsent have entered our annual Head of the River race in the past. Needless to say they won easily and still hold the ‘Avon Trophy’ for the fastest time ever recorded.

 

The clubroom known as “Evesham Boathouse” is the hub of the social offering with superb views across the river, park and meadows is a popular watering hole for the members and general public alike. Non-members are also welcome to enjoy the real ales and selection of drinks during opening hours and they can also make use of the Boathouse for parties and celebrations which can be hired privately.

 

Parking is free for members of the club and is a useful bonus being just a few minutes’ walk in to the town centre. Why not call in one evening to discuss joining or arrange with the club to have a guided tour to see its great facilities; you will be made very welcome.
